Set Sail for an Evening of Smooth Tunes and Celebration

As part of its 25th anniversary celebration year, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM) is proud to present a special 21+ live concert featuring Yachty by Nature on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. (Concert begins at 7:00 p.m.) Join us for an evening of smooth sailing, groovy tunes, and coastal celebration as we mark this incredible milestone with our community!

Please note: This event is for guests 21 and over only. Valid ID required at entry.

Since 2016, Yachty by Nature has been bringing the very best in LIVE Yacht Rock, delivering feel-good hits from the late ’70s and early ’80s. This high-energy, 6-piece band plays nostalgic favorites from Michael McDonald, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Christopher Cross, Toto, and more—with expert musicianship, irresistible rhythm, and nonstop fun.

With Scotty McYachty and Julie McCoy on vocals, and the rest of the crew—Captain Carl, Wes Coast, Big Wave Dave, and Pacific Rim—locking in that signature yacht groove, it’s a musical voyage you won’t want to miss.

“To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re throwing a yacht party to remember,” said SBMM Executive Director Greg Gorga.“This event celebrates 25 years of SBMM and honors our members, supporters, and the entire Santa Barbara community who have helped shape the museum into what it is today.”

Put on your captain’s hat, bring your best dockside style, and come celebrate 25 years of SBMM with live music, food, drinks, and harbor views that can’t be beat.

SBMM has been an invaluable member of the community in a variety of different ways. The programs are forward thinking, proactive, and engaging. Marine Science, Maritime on the Move, and the Girls in Ocean Science programs to name a few, are programs that are meeting the needs of the students and opening students’ minds and hearts to our wonderful maritime culture.

Help Kids Take a Deep Dive into Ocean Education

The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM) reaches broadly into the community to deliver many educational opportunities. Just last year, SBMM provided 183 programs to 4,801 students in 14 cities. Through scholarships and discounts, SBMM programming brings equity and access to locally underserved students, creating social change by reducing historic barriers to coastal access and experiences. “SBMM goes beyond walls to provide youth with experiences they would not otherwise receive in the classroom,” says SBMM Executive Director Greg Gorga. “We work with naturalists, artists, and educators, and have amazing community partnerships. None of these opportunities would be possible without donor support.”
