Become a Giving List Match Leader

Whether in Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area or Santa Barbara, The Giving highlights vetted nonprofits at the front lines of change.
Key to increasing donations to these vital organizations are the Matching Grants we offer them through our Giving List Match Program.
Through The Giving List’s committee advised fund housed at the Santa Barbara Foundation, we are able to accept charitable donations from individuals, corporations, charitable foundations and donor advised funds. Those contributions are offered as grant match challenges, which we and the nonprofits promote to their networks.
There are three opportunities for donors like you to gain visibility, while supporting outstanding nonprofits – all while making a charitable contribution.

The Giving List Pooled Fund

Through this option, we pool all funds received and evenly distribute them to nonprofits with budgets of $2 million or less. This is a great way to kickstart individual donations to smaller nonprofits that typically struggle to find diversified funding streams.

Support a Section

Whatever cause is closest to your heart – the environment, social justice or children – our nonprofits are doing exceptional work. Through this option you can support an entire section in one or all of the communities where we work.

Support an Individual Nonprofit

If you believe that one of the nearly 200 organizations we highlight across markets is a true standout, you can direct a matching challenge to that organization directly.
Minimum donations for any of the options described above are $10,000. Please reach out directly to schedule a time to discuss.
