YouthWell is excited to share upcoming opportunities for families, providers, and educators!

Stronger Together for Neurodiverse Youth Retreat

Join YouthWell on Sunday, November 17, from 9:00 AM–2:30 PM at the Santa Barbara Zoo for a one-day retreat designed for parents, educators, and providers. This interactive event offers practical tools and collaborative approaches to create more inclusive schools and communities. With a focus on affirming language, neurodiversity-affirming education, and identity-centered supports, the retreat equips both educators and caregivers with a shared toolbox to better support neurodiverse youth and their families. Advance registration is required at YouthWell.org/workshops.

Monthly Virtual Parent Education Nights

Mark your calendar for Dec 2, Jan 27, Feb 10, March 10, and April 28! These free 1-hour virtual YouthWell workshops are designed to support parents and caregivers of K–12 students in navigating the everyday challenges of raising children. Each session explores a timely topic – from managing stress and promoting self-care, to digital wellness, healthy boundaries, supporting twice-exceptional youth, and fostering resilience. It’s a welcoming space to learn practical tools, share experiences, and connect with other parents in the community. Parents are also invited to attend any of our weekly drop-in support groups. Advance registration is required at YouthWell.org/workshops.

A Call for Support: YouthWell’s Integrated Care Center

YouthWell is proud to announce plans for a first-of-its-kind Integrated Care Center, opening in early 2026 – a hub where youth ages 5–25 and their families can access therapy, peer support, family care coordination, navigation, and community resources all in one location. As we celebrate 10 years of impact in Santa Barbara County, we’re seeking founding donors and community champions to help make this vision a reality. Our goal is to raise $500,000 to pilot and sustain this vital resource over the next three years, ensuring that families can access care before youth are in crisis. We invite community members and businesses to invest in the next decade of YouthWell. Together, we can ensure care is accessible and every young person and their parents feel supported and connected.  Learn how you can get involved at YouthWell.org/donate.

Their work in breaking down barriers to mental health services is vital to the well-being of our youth, and we’re honored to be part of this important mission.

Empower Families: Prioritize Early Intervention by Funding Wellness Navigators

“We want to build a village around the family so they feel supported,” says Rachael Steidl, founder of YouthWell. “Our Navigators recognize the unique challenges of each family and think outside the box to match them accordingly so that they can get the help they need and deserve in a timely manner.”

YouthWell is finding an increasing demand for its Wellness Navigator program that supports families on their mental health journey by addressing their individual needs, removing barriers, connecting them with services, and offering hope. YouthWell aims to raise $175,000 to expand by hiring more navigators in order to serve more families from all backgrounds with youth through the age of 25 in Santa Barbara County.
