What Does Street Medicine Look Like?
What does street medicine look like in real life? It looks like compassionate care delivered directly to our unsheltered neighbors on sidewalks, in parks, and wherever people need support most.
Doctors Without Walls brings volunteer medical and dental professionals into the community to provide free healthcare, essential resources, and human connection to individuals facing homelessness and unstable living conditions in Santa Barbara County.
Through mobile outreach and programs like the Women’s Free Homeless Clinic, we meet patients where they are with dignity, respect, and hope. Alongside our dedicated clinicians, we also engage pre-med and health professional students, helping cultivate the next generation of compassionate healthcare leaders through hands-on service and mentorship.
For nearly 20 years, DWW has worked to ensure that no one is left without care simply because they lack housing. Donations of any amount greatly support our mission and help us continue our operations so that our patients, no matter their ethnicity, legal status, background, financial situation, or insurance status, can receive the free care they deserve.

Help Build Care Where None Remains
Doctors Without Walls’ volunteer-powered model means every donated dollar reaches the marginalized in Santa Barbara County, where need is rising and reimbursements are vanishing. Here are the ways you can help:
• $1,000 supports one of the new specialty clinics for a month of operations.
• $5,000 stocks the gynecology clinic for ongoing labs and supplies.
• $7,500 launches the new dermatology clinic.
• $10,000 funds an entire specialty clinic for the year.
• $20,000 helps expand the organization’s return to primary care for the marginalized.
