Opening Day!
Join Return to Freedom for the Opening Day of their 2026 program season, and a celebration of Spirit’s 31st birthday on May 9 at their Lompoc headquarters sanctuary!
The event will include the chance to see Spirit — the animators’ muse and model during the making of the DreamWorks classic Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron — eclectic locavore food and pourings from SB County wineries, a horsemanship demonstration, a staff-guided walking tour of the sanctuary with time for herd observation, and beautiful items for sale in their store and at vendor booths.
Be sure to get your tickets early — this special event always sells out!
