February 20 event at the SYV Grange features films exploring courage, creativity, and connection to nature

The NatureTrack Film Festival (NTFF), in partnership with the Santa Ynez Valley Grange #644 and the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation, invites the community to its monthly Special Screening Series on Friday, February 20, at the Santa Ynez Valley Grange Hall, 2374 Alamo Pintado Avenue in Los Olivos. Doors open at 6:00pm and films start at 6:30 pm.

This free community event features a compelling lineup of short and feature-length films exploring courage, creativity, compassion, and our shared connection to nature. The February screening builds on the momentum of January’s event, which welcomed a full house and an enthusiastic, engaged audience. Seating is limited, please arrive early.

Featured Films Include:

Sky Angels
A gripping true story set in the Los Padres Mountains, where a family stranded during the January 9, 2023 cyclone bomb survives thanks to three volunteer pilots who flew life-sustaining supplies into a 500-foot backcountry airstrip, supporting the family for five months as they rebuilt a road back to civilization.

Circle of Grace
After being paralyzed from the neck down at age 17, Grace Fisher embarks on a deeply moving journey of acceptance and transformation through art and nature—painting, writing, and composing one letter and one note at a time. (Filmmakers in attendance. Q&A to follow film.)

High Land
In Colombia’s remote Nudo del Paramillo, a rural family hunting a bird of prey they believe is killing their chickens instead discovers its only known nesting site in the country, forever changing their role from hunters to devoted protectors.

Circles in the Sand
When the tides align, the community of Bandon gathers on the beach to create an intricate, temporary walking pathway in the sand, inviting all who visit to walk the circle until the ocean reclaims it.

Enhancing the evening, members of the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation will pour wines from Eislynn Wines and Jennifer Gray Wines, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy outstanding local wines in a warm, community-centered setting.

The NatureTrack Film Festival Special Screening Series was created to bring exceptional films to the Santa Ynez Valley year-round, creating space for shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and deeper connections to nature and one another.
