Screening Series Continues with “From Wings to Waves”

By Giving List Staff   |   May 12, 2026

NatureTrack Foundation invites the community to its May Special Screening, From Wings to Waves, an inspiring evening of films that explore the hidden worlds of nature—from the forest floor to the ocean’s depths.

Presented in partnership with the Santa Ynez Valley Grange and the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation, this free community event is the fifth of ten monthly screenings in NatureTrack’s Special Screening Series, held on the third Friday of each month.

Event Details:
Date: Friday, May 15, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM)
Location: Santa Ynez Valley Grange Hall, 2374 Alamo Pintado Avenue, Los Olivos, CA
Cost: Free and open to the public

The May program features a thoughtfully curated selection of films that highlight the beauty, complexity, and interconnectedness of the natural world:

The Forest of the Honey Bees — A poetic French documentary following a beekeeper and her daughter as they explore the delicate balance between humans and nature.

The Bees and the Birds — A compelling look at California’s pollinators and the community efforts working to protect them.

The Lonely Mushroom — An award-winning short that takes viewers on a visually stunning journey into the unseen world of fungi.

Ocean with David Attenborough — A powerful exploration of the ocean’s beauty and fragility, delivering both a sobering message and a call to action.

Together, these films create an immersive experience that celebrates nature’s wonder while deepening awareness of the environmental challenges we face.

“Our Special Screening Series is designed to bring people together through storytelling that connects us to the natural world,” said Sue Eisaguirre, Founder and Executive Director of NatureTrack Foundation. “Each evening is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and be inspired to care more deeply about the world around us.”

Guests will enjoy wines from Seagrape Wine Company, poured by winemaker Karen Steinwachs, as well as beer generously provided by M.Special Brewery, creating a welcoming and community-centered atmosphere.

The NatureTrack Film Festival Special Screening Series extends the organization’s mission of connecting people to nature through meaningful experiences—whether outdoors on local trails and beaches or through the power of film.
