Taking Care of the Community’s Cats

By Giving List Staff   |   July 22, 2026
ASAP Cats' wonderful North County Community Cat Program Director Amy Smith feeding one of the cat colonies during her nightly feeding routine.

Following our merger last year with Catalyst for Cats, Inc., ASAP has become one of Santa Barbara County’s primary providers of community cat medical care and colony management, feeding dozens of cat colonies in the area. Our team of feeders are dedicated to keeping these kitties healthy and fed, but we can always use extra help.

Consider donating some wet or dry cat food today! Food donations are accepted at our shelter — simply stop by our shelter during open hours or place donations in the gray bin outside our front door.

Thank you for feeding the hungry!

Give Cats a Chance to Thrive

To keep delivering the highest level of compassionate, individualized care while managing rising costs, ASAP Cats is raising $40,000 for a portable x-ray machine to  keep diagnostics in-house. This will spare cats stressful trips under anesthesia, speed treatment, and reduce long-term expenses. The naming opportunity awaits a generous single donor, or this funding goal can be reached with combined gifts from many supporters.

Every contribution helps ASAP sustain and expand quality cat care across Santa Barbara County.
